Peter Clement, Head of Maintenance and Chief Flying Instructor

Peter Clement completed his Instructor rating in 2007. Though working mainly full time in the health profession, flying instructing and aircraft maintenance was done part time and built the part time business until retirement from health and could pursue his dream of running a flying school. Having been mentored instructing at Coffs Harbour, then set up and ran Clement's Flying School as a satellite school until able to run the school as the Chief Flying Instructor.

Peter has been building aircraft since childhood, building Arifix models, then balsa wood aircraft. Once the Australian Ultralight Federation, later to be known as Recreation Aviation Australia was formed and with the creation of ANO 95.10 one could build and fly their own aircraft. Peter designed and built his first aircraft, a 3/4 scale Spitfire. Later the project was sold and the next project was completion of a homebuilt aircraft. One of numerous that have been built, refurbished and rebuilt since then.

Clement Aero Maintenance & Training

Clement Aero, as a business, commenced in 2007 maintaining and servicing flying school aircraft in the Coffs Harbour and Clarence valley. Private owners of recreational aircraft have also been looked after since that time. Airframes we have worked on include composite, rag and tube and well as wood and fabric.

Clement Aero have also been supportive of training people in the mechanical skills required for working on recreational aircraft. We are committed to supporting others in the community, whether it be within the aviation community or the community in general.

Kerrie Clement, Office administration assistant

Kerrie Clement has been a supporter of Peter's aviation exploits for more than 20 years. and without her help and support Clement Aero would not be what it is today. Kerrie, now retired from health, assists in the office and the background operations of the flying school and the maintenance facility.

Kerrie loves flying, mainly as a passenger, but has also commenced her own flying training to become a recreational pilot.
